Maron River Pacitan East Java, a hidden heaven
A river with its limitless glamour is the suitable brief description for this place. This river is named Maron River. Maron river specifically located in Dersono village, Pringkuku, Pacitan. Maron river is one of the icons of Pacitan. Maron river spends actually 45 minutes’ journey from the center of Pacitan. To access Maron river, people need to across many curves. How to cook grasshoppers
Grasshoppers are the swarming phase of certain species of short-horned in the family Acrididae. These are species that can breed rapidly under suitable conditions and subsequently become gregarious and migratory when their populations become dense enough. (wikipedia)
Grasshoppers or Belalang in Indonesian is generally consumed as a side dish or snack especially in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. It can be easily found almost in all Gunungkidul area. The sellers offer them either in uncooked or cooked (fried) one.
Here we are going to share how to cook grasshoppers :
Ingredients:
- 1 kg grasshoppers
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 15 ref onions
- 250 gr gula pasir
- 4 sendok makan garam
- flavoring to taste
step of cooking:
1. Remove the legs, and the wings (Some people also pull the head straight off, which removes the guts (including the stomach). This tends to remove certain kinds of parasites)
2. Clean the locust by hot water
3. Puree garlic and onion then put into an pot / container
4. Then add a grasshopper into the container / pot then add the sugar, salt, flavoring and water as much as + – 2 liters
5. Boiled the grasshopper until it turns into a reddish color (approximately 30 minutes)
6. After boiled then drain to leak past the grasshopper prepare and frying oils and fried grasshoppers to look brown or until cooked.
7. lift and fried grasshoppers ready to be served.
Mitos the Movie
Mitos is a fiction film produced by students of Academy of Foreign Languange Sinema Yogyakarta. It was produced in the end of 2013 as an assignment of Cinema study. Directed by Agung Bayu S and written by Hidyanto Nurie. It stars Pamungkas RM, Luhur Pambudi, Aprilia Ayu S, Fery Ardhi, and Zuzu.
The film tells about a myth which is still believed in Java especially in Central Java & Yogyakarta. The myth is about prohibition of dropping lime water to the blood of dead people. People in Java believe that by doing that the spirit of the dead will hurt and feel so painful.

Yogyakarta Beach Experiences
This is a self-experience of the writer when enjoying his amazing holiday in several beaches in Yogyakarta.
Beautiful Beach in Gunungkidul
Gunungkidul has many beautiful beaches. The beaches are located in the south side of the district. The beaches look so beautiful because they have white sand and cliffs. The names of the beaches are Baron, Kukup, Krakal, Indrayanti, Sundak, Ngobaran, Drini, Wedi ombo, Ngrenehan, Nguyahan and so on. Here I would like to let you know about the nearest beach from my house. They are Ngrenehan, Ngobaran and Nguyahan. They are located about 11 KM south side from my village.
One of the beaches that I prefer to spend my holiday time when I am at home is Nguyahan beach. Nguyahan beach is located nearby Ngrenehan and Ngobaran beach. I love this beach so much, because it has a nice view along the beach, the sand is white, the cliff is so wonderful, and the most interesting is because the beach is still clean. Here are some photos I have ever taken there:
I would like to let you know the how to get there from the city of Yogyakarta. You can go there by riding your own motorbike or by driving a car. The first is you must pass the beautiful going up way in the border of Bantul district and Gunungkidul district; it is called as Irung Petruk way. Along the way you will find beautiful trees on the roadside. Then when you arrive in Wonosari city, there will be direction boards that show the name of the beaches. Then just follow the way until you get the entrance fee’s post.
Arriving there you will enjoy the atmosphere of the place. You may have fun; enjoy the water and the big wave. You may not swim outside of the safe line because it is dangerous. After having fun at the beach, you can try any kinds of food available there, such as fried fish, grilled fish, and other choices meals. You will find traditional snack like peyek udang and shrimp crackers.
At the moment beach tourism in Gunungkidul has been an alternative tourist attraction instead of city tour in Yogyakarta. There are many visitors spend their holiday time by visiting white sand beach as offered by in Gunungkidul. The government of Gunungkidul is arranging the program to increase the attractiveness of foreign tourists or domestic tourists.
